Below are the steps to get new countertops for your home.
Get an Estimate
We have several options for you:
1. Fax or Email your plans or a rough drawing for the quickest response. Send photos also if possible. Our fax number is 334-569-2987 and our email is customerservice@kitchencreationsinc.com
2. Visit our Showroom. Call 334-569-2983 to schedule an appointment. Be sure to bring your plans or drawings, and photos.
3. Call us at 334-569-2983 to schedule someone from our team to come to your home to take measurements.
Generally, you will receive an estimate within 24 hours.
Final Measurements & Templating
Call us as soon as your new cabinets are set. Someone from our team will come take final measurements and make templates using the latest laser technology.
If you are providing your own sinks, please make sure they are onsite when we come to template, or have them delivered to our showroom. Faucets for vessel sinks should be onsite as well. Farm sinks must be installed in the cabinet before we come to template.
If you are using a cooktop or slide-in range, please have it onsite when we come to template, or call us with the brand and model number.
If you are using your existing cabinets, call us to come take final measurements as soon as you are ready to move forward. Please make sure your countertops are clear of all small kitchen appliances and accessories so that we can make accurate templates.
Visit our Showroom for Final Selections and Approval
Call to schedule an appointment to visit our showroom for final selections and approval. At this time, you will be able to view the granite or quartz surfacing inventory that will be used for your new countertops. Our website shows all current materials that are in stock, and samples are available when we measure, but since every shipment of natural stone varies in color and pattern, we recommend visiting the showroom to see what is currently in our inventory. We also have many suppliers in Birmingham and Atlanta if we do not stock what you need.
At this appointment, you will also make the final decisions about your sink(s) and edge profile(s).
If you have not already done so, this is the time to provide your faucet brand and model number(s), bring any sink(s) that you are providing, and the brand and model number of your cooktop or slide-in range if you are using one.
A deposit for one-half of the final estimate is required to schedule fabrication of your new countertops.
Fabrication
Once your final selections and approval have been made, and a deposit has been received, we will begin fabricating your new countertops using the latest laser, waterjet, and CNC technology.
Installation
You should expect installation within 1-2 weeks of your deposit and final approvals.
If you are removing your old countertops, this needs to be done the day before your scheduled installation. If Kitchen Creations, Inc. is removing your old countertops, our team will do so the day of the new countertop installation.
Please clear out all of your base cabinets and remove your base cabinet drawers before our team arrives on the day of installation.
Most installations are done in a half day or less.
Sinks and faucets should be plumbed the next day to allow the sink to properly cure and seal overnight.
The remaining payment is due upon installation of your new countertops. You may send your payment with our installation team, or mail it to Kitchen Creations, Inc.
